“Baked Beans? Dang, I’m sure I used to know what this was for…”
Yes, yes, I know, another old man. But a different style this week. I did this using Corel Painter and my Cintiq. Click the pic for a larger version.
The Blurburger Blog
I’ve taken the little monster that I did for Illustration Friday a couple of weeks ago and made it into a desktop wallpaper. I’ve called it “I am Fierce!” and I quite like how it’s turned out. I asked the little monster what he thought, and he said “Grrr!”, which I took to mean “Geez Pete, you’ve done it again! You’re so great!”
This Lines, Joined & Otherwise cartoon is called ‘An Evening of Solitude’. Of course, this isn’t my evening of solitude. Mine are much more exciting. Full of adventure and derring-do, because unlike the character in the cartoon, I usually have two cups of tea. Yes, I know. I’m living on the edge, but I don’t care - I’m a devil who dares.
My latest desktop wallpaper harkens back to the ancient days of Blurburger (like six months ago) with it’s little squiggly shadows, and black outlines. So it’s for all of you retro-old-skool-too-kewl guys. But also for you I’m-new-here-what’s-he-talking-about people too. It’s called The Pull of Maybe, and it has brown in it. And rocks. Tooooo kewl. Told you.
Introducing my 10 year old daughter’s blog: An Awsome Kind of Weird. She wanted to take part in Illustration Friday, so we set up a blogger account for her. Her first picture is of a scared little beaver on his wood pile in a fierce storm. Check it out. She sure has got a strange sense of humor (Goodness knows where she got that from
)
A little cartoon about smiles, fleeting moments and uncomfortable rocks. That’s life in a nutshell really isn’t it?
Don’t forget to leave me some feedback if you like/dislike/whatever my little cartoons. You can leave a comment in this blog or leave a message in my Guestbook. I’d like to know what you think.
